This hotfix provides targeted improvements to quickly address customer issues related to graphics, licensing, metering and BACnet communication. It fixes an issue with image animations accessed through the BuildingPro Portal, prevents perpetual licenses from being lost when BuildingPro Edge operates without an internet connection, and adds support for the 76,800 baud rate – additional baud rates have been included as well. It also now handles decreasing metering indexes, which caused spikes in measured values.

BuildingPro Editor is the name of the user interface used to configure BuildingPro Edge series devices. This is commonly used by system integration roles (engineers, programmers, etc.) and in some cases facility managers during operation. It is accessible from the local network and/or from the ABB BuildingPro Cloud Portal. BuildingPro Editor is license-free. Its access can be limited by user rights, to ensure that only users with the right capabilities and knowledge will enter this interface. The openBOS firmware for the ABB BuildingPro Edge Series has been updated from version 3.3.1.0 to 3.3.2.0. This release improves day-to-day usability by making device mapping and data export more flexible and easier to work with. It adds support for Modbus point factors, enables simpler BACnet network organization, fixes a BACnet multistate mapping issue, and updates trend exports to CSV with semicolon separation for better compatibility.

This firmware release introduces significant enhancements across the BuildingPro platform, focusing on improved flexibility, scalability, and usability for system design and operation. Key additions include the introduction of a visual logic feature in the Editor, that allow to create flows covering different purposes such as control logic, field-to-field gateways, scenes and sequences. This release also newly supports internal points expand the logic capabilities, enabling the introduction of intermediate information relays, that are purely internal. Those internal points can then be used in the same way as any other points across the platform, such as in alarms, trends, schedules, graphics or other logic flows. An optimization in event handling for cloud communication allows reduced bandwidth usage and increased responsiveness. This new firmware also brings important usability improvements, licensing updates (stay valid up to 2 years offline), and targeted fixes to strengthen overall system reliability and performance.
