The primary objective of the ASPECT v3.09.00 release is to provide essential usability and security software patches, as well as to migrate ASPECT to AlmaLinux 9 for the NEXUS-3 and Enterprise platforms. This release incorporates customer feedback and the findings of comprehensive security assessments, resulting in a significant enhancement of ASPECT’s security posture and overall resilience against potential threats. Earlier versions of ASPECT operated on CentOS 6 and CentOS 7, which are now fully unsupported and no longer receive security updates from the open-source community. In contrast, ASPECT v3.09.00 has been ported to run on AlmaLinux 9, which benefits from the extended AlmaLinux 9 lifecycle. AlmaLinux 9 will receive full support, including feature updates, through 31 May 2027, and security-only support through 31 May 2032. The port of ASPECT v3.09.00 to AlmaLinux 9 thus ensures that ASPECT benefits from ongoing maintenance, timely security patches, and alignment with modern compliance and security standards over a multi-year horizon — making the platform far more sustainable, secure, and future-proof.
