ABB Active Voltage Conditioners ensure process continuity for Severn Trent in UK
ABB has supplied its state-of-the-art power conditioning equipment to Severn Trent to support the 24/7 availability of power for Melbourne water treatment works (WTW), which supplies water for one million residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Leicestershire area. After monitoring the unit’s performance Severn Trent’s engineers have also now placed an order for four additional power conditioners.

The facility is now running smoothly with an ABB PCS100 AVC-20 active voltage conditioner. For the first six months since installation, the AVC-20 reduced equipment failure and process disruptions at Dube AgriZone to zero, protecting production, equipment and profits.
